English Exotica Home Office

I found this inspiring desk vignette while searching for a new office desk for the office.  The photograph, originally published in Country Homes and Interiors, features some magnificent Indian-inspired wallpaper and fabrics from Elanbach, a welsh-based design firm. Elanbach has a beautiful collection of fabrics, wallpapers and accessories, including the beautiful Bagheera wallpaper shown above. The offices and production units for Elanbach are based in the grounds of Llangoed Hall, a country house and hotel located amidst the beautiful hills of Wales. I've added some additional photographs of the hotel, as this is one you'll most certainly want to add to your bucket list.  And below, some ideas of how to achieve this English Exotica Home Office in your home.

1. Horchow, Perch Chair, $729.  Evoking the Chinese Chippendale style filtered through Neoclassicism, this pretty chair combines a carved bamboo motif and rattan seat with a heavily distressed light blue finish. It's handcrafted of European beech.

2. Elenbach, A4 Boxfile.  Elenbach's beautiful boxfiles are covered with a parchment-like paper which has been printed with one of their designs, perfect as an accessory for every desk.
3. English Traditions, Petworth Writing Desk, $895. This table has wonderful English country look with its large drawer and handsome legs and attractive tulip turning leg.  I have visited English Traditions store in Cincinnati and it has some wonderful reproduction and antique English pieces.
4. Elenbach, Tom Parr Fabrics.  Perfect for throw pillows and curtains for any English office.
5. Pottery Barn, Devon Office Organizer, $119.  A thoughtfully designed office organizer with, ready, wheels, so you can move it around!
6. Pottery Barn, Bryony Vase, $24.00. Decorative vase with an antique silver finish.
