I came across a great article at the Daily Telegraph highlighting celebrities who love wearing "high street" fashion. In these difficult financial times, while being constantly bombarded with images of celebrities and fashionistas toting the latest Hermes handbag and Jimmy Choo shoes, it is great to see that wearing pieces from "high street" stores can make you just as much of a fashion plate. While we all love studying the pages of Vogue and Elle to see the latest looks from fashion houses like Chanel, we live in the real world. Luckily for us there are some fabulous stores like Anthropologie, Zara, Top Shop and H&M, that allow us, and celebrities, the latest in style at affordable prices.
From the Daily Telegraph:-
1) The Duchess - The lady of the moment, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge is a high street fan if ever there was one. Back in the days when she was still Kate Middleton, she popped down to Whistles, Warehouse, and Banana Republic to plump up her honeymoon wardrobe. And as she showed the day after the wedding, she doesn't seem to be letting royalty go to her head straight away, choosing a powder blue pleated dress from Zara to make her royal public debut.
2) The Actress - Demi Moore's red satin chinos set her back a not-so-whopping $34.95 (or roughly £21.29 in British stores) from Swedish brand H&M.
3) The First Lady - Is is Diane von Furstenberg? Is it Moschino? No no, it's high street favourite H&M. America's fashion forward First Lady, Michelle Obama knows how to sniff out a bargain and still look chic.
