The idea for my Paris Metro style blog came after receiving a care package from a friend last week. Inside, Morning Buns from William-Sonoma, hand made by French master pastry chef Jean-Yves Charon. A little taste of France in my tiny California kitchen.
I'm a sucker for anything sweet and pastries are my downfall. These buns are made from a light croissant dough and are filled with brown-sugar filling. They have a wonderful cinnamon and orange zest that will fill your whole house with a wonderful aroma when you cook them. The buns arrive in dry ice, in three individual tins with four buns each. You simply need to get them out of the freezer the night before, let them rise overnight, and then pop them in the oven to bake them.
So whether you want to surprise a friend with a scrumptious gift, or treat your own family with a little bit of a deliciousness on a Sunday morning, head over to William-Sonoma's website and give them a try. While you are there, order the croissants. Fantastic.
